HEZEKIAH WALKER & LFCC - NOTHING BUT THE HITS (2003)
PICK HITS: Clean Inside, Second Chance, Wonderful Is Your Name
Like the John P. Kee disc, it's hard to really think about putting together a greatest hits collection of Hezekiah Walker and Love Fellowship material. You'd have to reach all the way back to their Sweet Rain days (I'll Make It, Oh Lord We Praise You) and even include songs from that god-awful Focus on Glory CD. Ugh! This disc is incomplete -- why? No Timiney Figueroa song, no Stazee Burnett song, and only one slow joint. And the bonus track? Verity could have kept that one! I have the cassette of those remixes and there was a better one they could have used. Come on now. I was glad to see the Shakin The House (Live in LA) version of How Much We Can Bear. I lost my copy of that CD. You also find the edited version of Power Belongs to God (sloppy!) and the remix of Let's Dance that includes B.B. Jay & Dave Hollister instead of J. Moss. ADDITIONAL PICK HITS: How Much We Can Bear, Jesus Is My Help, We Made It

HEZEKIAH WALKER & LFCC - FAMILY AFFAIR 2 (2002)
After a rousing intro by Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Hez and nem hit the ground running. Recorded live at Radio City Music Hall in early 2002 -- the disc opens on a high note with We Made It.. Pastor Walker wanted to send a message to Osama (Lou sings - Tell Bin Ladennnn) and every other enemy that in spite of everything he went through in 2001.. He made it.. and he takes 7:22 to do it. Kim Burrell drops by on The Lord Will Make A Way Somehow and causes a holy riot.. (Doop Da Doop Da Doo Doo).. The way she adlibs toward the end of this song is straight up ridiculous. Next up is Timiney Figeuroa on Calling My Name -- she is in great voice and she takes us through the song we all grew to love back in 94. Moving forward, Heather Covington plows through What A Mighty God We Serve.. and if she never sings another song.. she did it on this one. If you fast forward to the middle of the track (right around 7:05) you will see where I have Holy Ghost spasms.

*new paragraph* Ahem.. I want to know who the genius was that decided to make I'll Make It 3:36?! You can't have John P. Kee on a song and cut it short. You just can't do that! Not only that, you cut off the drive from the original version. I'll forgive you this time but I might hafta cut you on the next one. LOL! He's On Your Side features the dynamic duo Ted & Sheri. This is another one of those if they dont sing no mo.. they sang on this one. Sheri went absolutely crazy on her adlibs toward the end of the song. You'll have this one on repeat fa sho! What's so funny about this? I didn't even like the song on the Live in Atlanta album. Um.. Kervey did you hafta scream yessss for 7:02? Now this is the track they could have cut short. I ain't lyin, I ain't lyin! My good cyber buddy Lucinda Moore brings a smoothness to When We Get Over There (great job Cinda!). The album closes with two bangin studio tracks featuring J. Moss/PAJAM and the inspiring I Need You To Survive. I'm sure another Grammy nomination is on the way.

HEZEKIAH WALKER & LFTC - LOVE IS LIVE (2001)
What can we say about Pastor Hez and the Love Fellowship Camp? Most of us have come to expect consistency from artist like Hez, John, Fred etc etc. (huh?) Said that to say, there is nothing new here .. Same Hezekiah Walker style, Same Hezekiah Walker flava, minus the modulations and a Hezekiah Walker solo. Now how you gon' do a Love Fellowship album and not have Hez anywhere on the album.. and the modulations that they are known for? I will say this though.. the Tabernacle Choir's sound has developed quite a bit since their debut release. An added bonus on the CD.. is two other choirs from Love Fellowship Tabernacle: The Rhema Choir (Lord Do It, Lord Lift Me Up) and The Shekinah Choir (Let Go, Let God). Favorites include: I Praise God, Thank You, You Died For Me, and Wait on God. Warning: Please don't play the Mashonda (7+ minutes of shoutin' music!) while operating heavy machinery LOL... And for goodness sake's.. dont listen to it in public.. you might go ta dancin and havin fits like I did! LOL

KELLI WILLIAMS - IN THE MYX OF YOUR WILL (2000)
Oh Gosh! This has to be one of the hottest releases of the summer! Why it's not on Billboard I'll never know (Get up and go buy it!!).. but under the production guidance of Tonex.. Kelli has a hit on her hands!! I got rid of her first release and I liked her second album but this one is soooo hot! My favorites on here include: The Greatest, In The Myx, Temple, Remyx Me and you can do a sho nuff' jig to Bustin' Loose!! (for all you treadmill walkers! lol) Hats off to Tonex for his slammin production skills! TRACK LISTING: Fall Down 2000, The Greatest, In The Myx, Older, Over and Over, Bustin' Loose, Crazy For You, Remyx Me, Temple, Bionic (Y2Kelli Cybermyx)

LIL IROCC WILLIAMS - SELF TITLED (2003)
PICK HITS: Roll Wit Me, All My People, No Tears, How I Live My Life
Watch out Lil Romeo and Bow Wow -- Lil iROCC is here to drop a few verses for the Lord. This lil guy has released a project laced with decent beats, lyrics and a few comical interludes. If you want somethin that you can play at a youth fellowship, this is the CD for you. I-R-O-C-C opens up the CD. This bouncy cut explains the meaning of lil man's name. It stands for I Rely On Christ Completely. Scene - Time For School (the first of a five skits) puts you in mind of a Rickey Smiley skit and it leads you in the thumpin Roll Wit Me. All My People is next and encourages the saints to "get their hands up" and praise God. This is the first single off of the CD and has an accompanying video that can be spotted on BET. How We Do It features a guest spot by tobyMac and Grits. No Tears features background vocals by Karima Kibble of Virtue. Next Generation Hip Hop closes the CD and features an appearance by fellow Atlanta Canton Jones and Big iROCC (iROCC's dad). This was a fun one to listen to. Cop it and support the youngin. There's a couple of extra features on the CD. I'm not gonna tell it all. Go buy it and find out. ADDITIONAL PICK HITS: Next Generation Hip Hop

MALCOLM WILLIAMS & VOICES OF GREAT FAITH - RENEW ME (2003)
*hummin* Everyday with Jesus, Gets Sweeter Than The Dayyyy Befooore -- Ahem. Y'all excuse me, I got caught up. LOL! This CD is like a fine wine (stop fakin like you'on know about wine), it gets better with age. When I first listened to it, I had a couple of favorites, but when I went back to listen again, I fell in love with the whole project. Malcolm Williams and the Voices of Great Faith are back with their sophomore project Renew Me. I enjoyed their debut "Gotta Make It" but Malcolm and nem have grown and came back on the scene hard. From the song selections, to the energy of the choir/band/soloists, right on down to the simplest thing like diction (y'all know it's hard to understand many of these choirs that are puttin' out records these days) -- everything is at the next level! Ahh -- I'm feelin renewed already. Favorites Include: How Majestic (all choir directors should add this one to their repertoire--you gotta have an anthemish type song in there), Renew Me, Ready, Suffered, All In His Hands, No Rocks (my absolute favorite -- sang Tashia!), and One More River. Other Observations: Gospel House DJ's should check out Live Holy & One More River. James Cleveland fans should enjoy the 2002 version of Jesus Will (once you get pass the adlibs at the end of the song -- WOW LOL!). Check out Malcolm's upper register y'all (He Suffered). Sang boi! I'll close this review by sayin -- It's gotta be something in the water out there in Chicago. Y'all are just bad! I'm definitely looking forward to the next release.

MALCOLM WILLIAMS & VOICES OF GREAT FAITH - GOTTA MAKE IT (2000)
Chicago knows how to put it down when it comes to Gospel Music.. You have Ricky Dillard & New G, Mark Hubbard & United Voices, VaShawn Mitchell & New Image.. Well now you can add Malcolm Williams and the Voices of Great Faith and their debut project Gotta Make It. This album is NO JOKE (also the name of Malcolms ministry)..check out the cuts Believe I'll Testify, Ezekial, Gotta Make It, Secret Place, and Tell Jesus. Elder DeAndre Patterson (Famous for the Hit He's Alive And I Know It) makes a guest appearance on Sunday Morning Praise. Track Listing: Believe I'll Testify, Ezekial, Wait, He Suffered, Gotta Make It, Secret Place, Tell Jesus, Again, Because of You, Quartet Praise, Sunday Morning Praise

MICHELLE WILLIAMS - DO YOU KNOW (2004)
PICK HITS: Purpose In Your Storm, Never Be The Same, Love Thang
You've heard the saying that a sophomore project can make or break you -- Michelle Williams has nothing to worry about with the release of her 2nd CD Do You Know. It's all good! Her debut project had such a heavy gospel presence with all of the guest appearances and that traditional "Gospel" sound that we're all used to but this one has an urban inspirational feel to it. Don't worry -- it's not all about the beats, the message rings loud and clear. All of the producers on this project seem to have picked the perfect songs to fit Michelle's unique vocals. She's definitely got the Who's Who when it comes to the list of producers for this CD. Purpose In Your Storm finds Michelle writing with Tommy Simms. The track for this song is tad too busy for me. The tag of the song though, has a fun groove to it. La La La -- Purpose In Your Storm. Nice! The next two tracks are favorites of mine. Another Simms tune, Never Be The Same, is a radio friendly cut with a steady tempo that finds Michelle sharing how life isn't the same after coming in contact with Christ. Love Thang features background vocals from Eric and Anson Dawkins and definitely takes the top spot as my favorite cut on the CD. Fast forward to My Only Love Is You. This song has such an old school feel to it and rightfully so as it samples James Brown's You're My Only Love. No One Like You finds Michelle's brother Erron and Eric Pullins in the producers chair. This track features some nice work in the fender rhodes and strings departments. The Movement penned by Solange Knowles, Have You Ever, I Know featuring Destiny's Child are other favorites that close the CD out. Have You Ever finds Michelle in great voice. The song is so mellow. That lower range in the beginning works for her. Make sure you check that one note out though towards the end of the song. Love it! Do You Know is a decent project. Michelle has definitely stepped up the game with this release. Not only are the vocals on point, but she showcases her writing abilities on several tracks. I was disappointed with the PAJAM offering on this project but I guess they're entitled to one off day. Maybe I'm just used to J. Moss bein all over the background vocals. Call it spoiled! Michelle did a nice piece of singin on the song though. ADDITIONAL PICK HITS: My Only Love Is You, No One Like You, The Movement, Have You Ever

MICHELLE WILLIAMS - HEART TO YOURS (2002)
Move over Beyonce and Kelly it's Michelle's time to shine! And shine she does on her solo project from Music World Music. If you haven't figured it out by now, I am into Destiny's Child so don't be shocked that the Gospel project from Michelle is being reviewed here on nuthinbutgospel.com. The ladies have taken a break from being bootylicious to pursue solo careers and Michelle stuck to her Gospel roots, slappin us with a slamming 12 track CD. I was a lil worried about this project because I wasn't sure if Michelle had what it takes to make it own her own.. let's just say that she can hang with the best of em. While her voice is unique, the sista does a pretty piece of singin on several cuts. It also doesn't hurt to have some of Gospel's finest appear on your project either. Mary Mary appears on the mid-tempo So Glad, Isaac Caree and Lowell Pye from Men of Standard appear (background vocals) on You Care For Me, Shirley Caesar appears on Steal Away (which also appears on Caesar's latest), and R&B's Carl Thomas helps out with a remake of BeBe and CeCe Winan's Heaven. Be sure to check out the cut Everything. Forget what you've heard and lay aside your personal gripes with Destiny's Child and support this project. It's really good. Oh yeah.. Williams and her brother Erron wrote and produced a few of the tracks on the CD .. not only can she sing.. but she can write too. Go head guh witcho bad self!

VANESSA WILLIAMS - VANESSA (2002)
I remember years ago while I was in high school directing the Gospel Choir.. we had to sing at this church (New Hope Baptist) and their church choir was up singing.. they sang a song with a female lead who just tore the song to pieces.. and she did it like it was nothing. This lady turned out to be Vanessa Williams. Many years and Richard Smallwood/Vision CD's later.. the world has come to know this incredible vocalist. Bishop Andrew Merritt (Faith in The House, Straight Gate Church) started his own label Bajada Records and Vanessa is the first release from this company. Quick Facts: was apart of the Richard Smallwood Singers, recorded several songs with Richard Smallwood and Vision, Toured with Yolanda Adams (BGV). God has really shown her favor because she has material from some of the top producers/musicians in the industry. Steven Ford, Fred Hammond, Kevin Bond, Fred Hammond, and PAJAM have provided the material to make this CD a hit! Favorites Include: Hail or High Water, Walk By Faith, All My Help (Sang Y'all!), Think Again (When is J. Moss puttin his album out), Oh How I Love Jesus (It ain't one of my favorites, but Kevin Bond is doin them background vocals!), and Chasing After You

WILMINGTON CHESTER MASS CHOIR - LIVE IN CONCERT (2001)
If there is a choir that has been consistent down through the years... it's the Wilmington Chester Mass Choir! The traditional music with a twist of contemporary every now and then, great diction, and a line-up of slammin vocalist is what makes us all know and love this group! Their new CD won't disappoint current fans and will be sure to bring in some new ones. From beginning to end, this project never lets up! The songs that really did it for me are: The Only One, Take You All The Way (Angela Spivey takes this one straight to church!), Be Glorified, That I May Know Him, and Praise Him (written by Philly's own Zachary Williams of Zach Williams and Hype Praise. The album closes with Call Me, a nice slow jam written by their label mate Maurette Brown-Clark. P.S. Check out We've Come To Praise.. I thought that was a female doing the lead vocals until I read the liner notes. Lawd!

NATALIE WILSON & SOP - THE GOOD LIFE (2003)
PICK HITS: Free, When You Need A Friend, People, Liquid Prayers
Since I haven't written CD reviews in over 6 months, I definitely have to include one of my favorite CD's from 2003 in this batch. This is Natalie Wilson & SOP's sophomore release (third if you have the indie project Not The Same) on GospoCentric Records. They're letting the world know that the good life isn't about money, fame, cars -- but it's all about having a new life in Christ. After a matrix-like intro, Natalie Wilson & Rodney Jerkins open things up with the title cut The Good Life. Not really one of my favorite cuts so I usually breeze pass this one. The official jam of 2003 is next. Free has to be one of the hottest songs released last year. This one, even after 6 months, still has me hittin the repeat button. It's all about the running bass line towards the end of the song. Pure hotness!! The reggae flavored Conquerors is next and finds Papa San droppin by to spit a verse. Definitely another cut to jam to. Things slow down a lil as James Moore takes the lead on a remake of There's No Hatred, written by Andrae Crouch. This powerful song has a great message and showcases some nice vocal work by SOP. Tina Marshall, SOP favorite, takes the lead on the encouraging When You Need A Friend. The comical Midtro finds Natalie being interviewed by members of the press and then being whisked away in a helicopter. Alrighty then! One of those questions had me thinkin though -- Aren't you just an undercover Hip-Hop artist trying to do Gospel? Hmm, I've wondered that about some Gospel artists myself (ain't callin no names though). Peace & Tranquility, Liquid Prayer & Healing and Rest close things out. Be careful when listening to Liquid Prayer though. That song became a personal favorite as soon as I heard it. Actually all 3 of the closing songs really spoke to my Spirit. Even after all this time, if you haven't purchased this one -- get up and go get it! I think you'll enjoy it. I'm looking forward to the next project. Natalie and Joe put it down on this project so I can only imagine what the next one will offer.

NATALIE WILSON & SOP - THE GIRL DIRECTOR (2000)
The thing that impressed me most about this album is the music! The band is incredible.. Mad props to Joe Wilson for being one of the tightest musicians/producers in the industry. After many delays, the world finally gets a taste of what I've known since 1995. The Girl Director features appearances by Rodney Jerkins on Act Like You Know and Faith Evans on Crown! Faith is sangin ya'll! But My Lord and Your God.. Check Out J. Michael on Let's Talk About Jesus.. That makes the album worth the 15 bucks I paid for it! TRACK LISTING: Act Like You Know, Calvary, Reprise (Calvary), I Found Someone, Brother/Sister, Crown, The Rock, Reprise (The Rock), Time Will Tell, Show Me, Let's Talk About Jesus, The Hills, Praise

CECE WINANS - CECE WINANS (2001)
CeCe better go head wit her bad self.. tryin to break out a new look and a more contemporary sound this go around. Some might have to get used to all this change at one time. While I'm not that big of a CeCe Winans fan, I do have all the CD's she's put out... it seems like she's doing one worship CD, then a more urban type CD because some of the songs on this CD remind you of the material featured on her Everlasting Life project. Anywho.. the songs I'm feeling are: Anybody Wanna Pray, More Than Just A Friend, Heavenly Father, Bring Back The Days of Yea & Nay (with brother Marvin Winans) and the scorchin' Out My House.

VICKIE WINANS - BRINGING IT ALL TOGETHER (2003)
*sigh* Lawd I hope Verity won't be mad at me and drop me from their mailing list -- but um what is really goin on? Let me start by saying that I respect Vickie Winans for her work ethic and I really believe that she is a genuine person and has a heart of Gold -- but I was definitely looking for a follow up to Live in Detroit 1 & 2. I tried hard not to write this review from that angle -- but after all is said and done I couldn't get into this CD. After the first couple of songs, I'm done. There was too much going on. With production help from her sons Marvin "Coconut" and Mario "Skeeter" Winans, VW has put together a collection of songs that is being billed as "Music that everyone can groove to." While some may groove, I found myself pushing the fast forward button on my discman quite a few times. I'd definitely like to hear from others who purchase this disc to find out what you think. All is not lost though -- The lead single Shake Yourself Loose is a bangin up-tempo number that will have you Harlem Shakin, Holy Ghost Shakin, Wig Shakin -- whatever shake you used to doin. LOL! Shook is my JAM! Yes that was me, Until I took a look into the B-I-B-L-E. The cover of We Need A Word from the Lord was decent. Really enjoyed this one. Other favorites include: Know God & Kids Love Jesus Too (Hah Ye Yoo Luh -- aww!) Note: The song Superman can be found on the 2003 edition of WOW Gospel. JESUS can be found on the Divas of Gospel collection on the now defunct Tommy Boy Gospel label.

DEWAYNE WOODS & WHEN SINGERS MEET - POETS, PSALMS, PSALMISTS (2003)
PICK HITS: Spirit, I Lift My Hands, Bid Me To Come, Refuge, Never Alone
I take pride in being able to introduce the Nuthin But Gospel family to some of the country's most slamminest (aint a word -- I know LOL!) independent artist. With that I have to give y'all the 411 on a new group out of Kansas City, MO -- an artist you've seen around but he's now on his own with a slammin debut offering. When doin your shoppin for gospel on the net, make sure you head over to cdbaby.com and pick up DeWayne Woods & When Singers Meet. Aight so true gospel heads should remember DeWayne from his days with John P. Kee & New Life and more recently with Donald Lawrence & Tri-City. He's put together a 17 track live/studio project (well balanced may I add) filled with poetry, praise and worship. The CD opens with the spoken word piece Warming Up In A and charges into the bass heavy Spirit penned by JJ Hairston and first recorded by Youthful Praise on their Awesome God release. I Lift My Hands is the first of two songs written by Baltimore's Jonathan Nelson. Bid Me To Come finds Dewayne battin solo against a nice groove that was penned by Charmelle Cofield. Refuge is one of a couple of studio tracks that should bump real nice in the ride (or through headphones on the subway LOL) with the windows down. Never Alone is introduced by a spoken word piece written and performed by Sheirron Davis and Tommie White-Bolton joins DeWayne on lead vocals to the song. Could've Said No features former Milton Brunson & TCS singer Kim McFarland. We're used to Kimmy singin all soft and sweet but she's givin the 123 punch on this cut. This one stays on repeat fa sho! Why haven't you gone to cdbaby.com yet? Hurrup and buy! ADDITIONAL PICK HITS: Could've Said No

CHARLES WOOLFORK & COVENANT - SOUL FOOD (2002)
Charles Woolfork is a sangggin somebody. Hopefully this release will get him a larger fan base. Soul Food picks up where Tru2God left off. It's filled with a variety of styles. From ballads to Caribbean, straight to the Hip Hop/club bangin joints. The guitar heavy Dance! opens the CD and pretty much sets the tone for a Holy Ghost good time! Melvin Williams drops by to lend a hand on the take-ya-ta-church joint Lifted Me. Food Fo' Yo' Soul (interlude) proves that Woolfork could probably sing the ABC's and take the saints in! The CD ends with the hype and comical Came 2 Praise. I'm not sure if that was Bernie Mack or Charles doin a heckuva impersonation! LOL! Like a good book.. I'm waiting to see what the next chapter in the music ministry of Charles Woolfork will be. Get to the store and catch up on Charles Woolfork. In order for your collection to be complete you'll need: Givin Up The Praise (Benson Records if you can find it), 2nd Coming, Tru2God and then get you a serious helping of Soul Food.

CHARLES WOOLFORK - TRU2GOD (2000)
I've always thought this brother had great potential! He can surely sing, but this project is missin somethin. Personally, out of all the projects he's released (Tru2God makes #3).. The CD before this one (2nd coming) has to be my favorite. Tru2God features Charles doin most of the leads and even a lot of the background vocals (I dunno where Covenant is lol). The cuts to nod your head to Turning Point, Lift Your Hands, Somethin' About 'Cha and if you want here Woolfork just str8 up sing check out Without You and No One Else. TRACK LISTING: It's On, TRU2GOD, Turning Point, Jehovah Dance, He Washed, Da'Holyghostparty!, It Is Well, Lift 'Yo Hands, Can't Nobody, Without You, Love Won't Let Me Walk Away, Never Let Me Down, No One Else, Somethin' About 'Cha, God Be With You

TIMOTHY WRIGHT - I HEAR MUSIC (2002)
The Godfather of Gospel is back with his umpteenth recording for Savoy Records. This recording commemorates 25 years in the industry and features members of his Concert Choir -- past and present. This is definitely music you can sing on Sunday morning. Y'all traditional music lovers and choir music lovers should find something on this CD for you to enjoy. Just like John P. Kee, Hezekiah Walker, Richard Smallwood, and Fred Hammond fans -- Wright fans will either love this CD or hate it (with that said -- it's up to you if you buy this one or not). The patented sound that we've all become accustomed to is still there. I think the band is tighter on this project than others. Maybe that's just me though. You can judge how tight they are (or not) on the Musical Tribute track. Favorites this time around include: I Hear Music, What A Friend, Closer, I Know The Lord (Hands On Me), The Medley (Let It Shine, Testify, Born Again, We Need A Miracle/even though the soloist umm -- nevermind. LOL!) and Come To Pass.

TIMOTHY WRIGHT PRESENTS ERIC FIGUEROA - HE'S A ROCK (2000)
When one of the sanginesss (is that a word? lol) families of Gospel hook up with the Godfather of Gospel, there is gonna be some serious trouble! Bishop Eric R. Figueroa and New Life Tabernacle comes to us live and in full effect str8 out of the Big Apple! Fans of Danny Eason and Hezekiah Walker will appreciate this album because Timiney and Anaysha Figueroa are on here throwin down!! You owe it to yourself to hear He Cares For Me, When I See Jesus, Love Lifted Me, and You Brought Me Through This. TRACK LISTING: He's A Rock, My Hope is Built, He Cares For Me, When I See Jesus, Will You Be Ready, Lord I Love You, You Stand, Love Lifted Me, You Brought Me Through This, Lord Your Favor, I'll Never Turn Back, A Miracle

REV. TIMOTHY WRIGHT - THE BEST OF TIMOTHY WRIGHT 1983-1987 (2000)
The Godfather of Gospel (in my opinion).. known for takin a verse, chorus, hook, and a few modulations and makin some great songs.. before going to Savoy put a few releases out on AIR Gospel. Well, AIR has released a collection of songs from 1983-1987. Talkin bout church?! This is Gospel Music at its finest. Production is a bit rugged, but you get that live recording feel and the anurntment that comes with a Timothy Wright project. PICK HITS: Testify, I'll Be A Witness, Can't Stop, I Want To See My Jesus

YOUTH FOR CHRIST - HIGHER (1999)
First there was Walt Whitman and the Soul Children, Mississippi Mass Children's Choir, and even the GMWA Youth Mass Choir.. now we have the Georgia Mass Youth For Christ choir. Ya wanna know what's funny?! These kids sing better than most adult choirs! LOL Check out Psalms 34, I Believe I Can Fly (yep the one by R. Kelly), What A Fellowship (Str8 Up Church!!), and Higher .. Congrats are also in order for a grammy nomination. TRACK LISTING: Come On Let's Worship, Psalm 34, Higher, I Believe I Can Fly, I Just Want To Thank You, What A Fellowship (Part I), What A Fellowship (Part II), Confess the Lord, We Worship You Oh Lord, It's My Desire, Clean Heart

YOUTHFUL PRAISE - A CALL TO WORSHIP (2000)
This Bridgeport, CT church choir explodes onto the recording scene in a major way! Simply one of the best independent releases this summer.. A Call To Worship is one project that you must add to your collection! This choir has been compared to James Hall & Worship and Praise, Ricky Dillard and New G, but I believe they have a wonderful sound all their own! Joining Youthful Praise on this project are: Melonie Daniels, Lucresia Campbell, Lorraine Stancil, Evangelist Gloria White, and Robin Rowe-Stewart.
