SWV's Coko, Jonathan Nelson & Ted Winn
Will Shine Brightly On World Vision's Hope Nation Tour
Also Featuring Rising Gospel Stars Canton Jones, Dewayne Woods,
Tarsha' Mcmillan Hamilton And Myron Butler & Levi
The major gospel tour this spring will be World Vision's "The Hope Nation Tour" that features some of the most exciting and dynamic young gospel singers on the scene today. Among the artists appearing is former SWV front woman, Coko, whose solo gospel CD debut "Grateful" was nominated for a Grammy award last year. Also on the bill is Jonathan Nelson, who wrote Donald Lawrence's hit "Healed" and led Youth for Christ's "The Struggle is Over" which spent twelve weeks at #1 on the Billboard gospel singles chart. His new single "My Name is Victory" is climbing up the tracks just as Ted Winn's (of
the Stellar award winning Ted & Sheri gospel duo) solo single debut "God Believes in You" is finding its way to gospel radio formats over the next few weeks.
Backed by a live band and background singers, the tour roster will be rounded out by such dynamic young gospel sensations as Dewayne Woods, Myron Butler & Levi, Tarsha' McMillan Hamilton and Canton Jones. The tour kicks off this Tuesday in Hattiesburg, MS and ends in Los Angeles on Memorial Day weekend.

Columbia Records Proudly Announces the Release
of 'StandOUT,' the New Spirit-Filled Full-Length Live Album
From Chart-Topping Contemporary Gospel Performer Tye Tribbett & G.A.

Columbia Records will release StandOUT, the much anticipated new album from the contemporary gospel singer/songwriter/performer Tye Tribbett and his gospel choir and musical ensemble, G.A. (Greater Anointing), on Tuesday, May 6.
StandOUT is the first new full-length album from Tye Tribbett and G.A. since the groundbreaking gospel artist's Victory Live! entered the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart at #1, shortly following its release in May 2006. A DVD edition of Victory Live! has sold more than 40,000 copies.
A crossover success featuring the #1 Gospel Radio single, "Victory," Victory Live! hit #64 on the Billboard Top 200 best-selling albums chart while earning Tribbett two Stellar Awards and three Grammy nominations -- Best Gospel Performance ("Victory"); Best Gospel Song ("Victory"); and Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album.
Recorded live at Rock Church International in Virginia Beach on August 17, 2007, StandOUT premieres a group of new musical testimonies to the Power of the Word and the Glory of the Holy Spirit, each written or co-written by Tye Tribbett: "Stand Out," "Hold On," "Look Up," "I Need You," "Prodigal Son," "All Hail The King," "Hallelujah," "Let Us Worship," "So Amazing," "He Has Made Me Glad," "I Made It Through," "Chasing After You," and "Well Done." As an added blessing for Tribbett fans, StandOUT includes the hidden bonus track, the single "Good In The Hood."
Tye Tribbett, a co-host, along with Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary, at the 22nd Annual Stellar Awards ceremony, and G.A. have performed with a variety of pop and gospel superstars ranging from Justin Timberlake and Faith Hill to Mary J. Blige, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell and Israel Houghton.
Tye Tribbett sponsored his second annual youth conference earlier this year in the Poconos, with more than 1,000 attending. He will be performing at this year's Essence Festival in New Orleans.
Born in Camden, New Jersey, Tye Tribbett is the son of two preachers ... both his mother and father wore the cloth ... and Tye himself, a loving husband and father of two daughters, has responded to the Call, going on to minister through his music and the Living Word. Growing up surrounded by hymns and gospel music, Tye learned to make music at an early age. "I've been playing all my life," he explains. "Before I knew my ABC's, I knew the ABC's on the keys." As a teenager, he honed his skills as a keyboardist by accompanying such regional notables as Steve Middleton, the late James Viner and the Tri-State Mass Choir of the Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar.
In 1996, Tye founded a gospel choir, Greater Anointing (G.A.), consisting of a group of family and friends whose hearts were set simply on praising the Creator through the gift of great music. Tye knew from the beginning they'd tapped into something real and glorious. "That first rehearsal blew my mind," he says. "The musicianship, the quality of the voices and the spirit of the choir, the character of everybody ... I knew that this was it. I knew that this is what I was supposed to be doing."

Ted Winn of Stellar Award Winning Ted & Sheri Duo to
Release First Solo Project "Balance" in Fall 2008

In 2001, Ted & Sheri, burst on the gospel music scene with their smash rendition of Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway's classic "Come Ye Disconsolate." The riveting ballad won them three Stellar Award nominations (Gospel music's Grammy equivalent) and two wins. They followed up with the Donald Lawrence-penned 2005 Top 10 hit "Celebrate," "God Will Take Care of You" and "How Much You Mean to Me." Now, Ted & Sheri have taken a break from recording as a unit to launch solo careers. "The style of music will be different," Winn says. "Ted and Sheri's music primarily focused on the blend and mesh of our voices. The solo record will focus more on songs than my voice."
Winn's highly-anticipated solo CD debut "Balance" is tentatively scheduled for a fall 2008 release with original songs written by Winn, Israel Houghton, Jonathan Nelson, and PJ Morton, among others.
Project producers include Winn, Daniel Moore, Myron Butler and PJ Morton, who wrote DeWayne Wood's smash "Let Go, Let God." The first single is the power anthem "God Believes In You" that will be serviced to gospel and urban AC radio in April 2008.
The song was inspired by a real life tragedy. "A friend of mine was killed in an accident and he was one of many people, whom I feel did not reach his potential because he never had a support system nor infrastructure," says Winn. "This song is meant to inspire EVERY person to pursue every dream knowing that God has made an investment in them and He would not make an investment if He didn't expect a return. It's not just to those who have always been apprehensive, it's also to those who have achieved "success", but still have passions that they've been slow to go after."
Aside from singing, Winn has been an active behind the scenes player as a songwriter on songs recorded by Marvin Sapp, Youthful Praise, and the Dove Award nominated smash "Marvelous" for Bishop T.D. Jakes and The Potter's House Mass Choir. Winn's Veracity Entertainment, LLC, is a publishing/publishing firm that administers publishing for songs recorded by Anthony Hamilton, TLC, Jonathan Nelson, Marques Houston, Juanita Bynum, among others. Winn had been content with his publishing company and launched the solo project with a bit of apprehension. "I feel nervous, but like I'm in line with God's plan, in that he gave me something to say on this project," Winn says. "I prayed/thought long and hard about doing a solo record and vacillated quite a few times but I'm happy with the way it's shaping up."
In other exciting news, Winn has joined The Ellis Verne Agency's highly-anticipated "Hope Nation" Tour that features SWV's Coko, DeWayne Woods, Myron Butler & Levi, Jonathan Nelson, Tarsha' McMillan Hamilton and Canton Jones.
