Music is in his blood!!! Greg Roberts, the eldest of three children and the son of a jazz musician and music educator, was born in the intensely musical city of Philadelphia, PA. He is no stranger to the arena that he has worked in diligently since early childhood. Just as most musical talents in the industry today, Greg realized his gift in the church, beginning his journey through a career in music and following in his father's footsteps. From the age of 5, Greg sang in various church choirs quickly capturing the attention of many with talent far beyond his years and experience.

After 5 years of refining his skills through church singing, the opportunity to enter the professional music world presented itself in a way that would give Greg priceless experience that would prove to be useful throughout his entire music career. At the age of 10, Greg was one chosen out of 500 candidates who auditioned for the world- renowned Philadelphia Boys Choir, who at the time were auditioning for only 7 open positions and was the only African American selected for that season's intake process. While with the group he was afforded the opportunity to tour across the globe to such places as Ireland, Germany, Israel, Jordan & Russia to name a few.

So now in his adult years his talent has matured under the power of God's anointing. In his late teens, Greg begin singing and recording with many gospel groups in the Philadelphia area like Wilmington Chester Mass Choir, Steve Middleton and Unity & Praise and also Tyrone Tribbett and Greater Anointing.

After a few years Greg decided to take a break from the Philly gospel scene and relocated to Virginia to complete a Bachelors Degree in Mass Media at Hampton University. While a student, the Lord blessed in an unexpected way by having a group of friends turn into one of Southeastern Virginia's most respected singing aggregations, which is now called Greg Roberts & Soulful Celebration. Under Robert's leadership the group has recorded and released their debut project, "All Things: The Soulful Experience...LIVE!!! "

The extent of Greg's work does not stop at singing and recording, he is also the Program Director for WTJZ 1270 AM in Hampton, which is a local affiliate of Sheridan Network's The Light. In addition to his duties with the station, he is also the Worship leader, Director of Vocal Music and a Minister in Training at the 6000+ member Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple in Hampton, VA under the pastorate of Rev. Jerome A. Barber. Roberts is truly a man of many talents all of which were given to be a blessing to the people of God and only for God's glory.

Started on the historic campus of Hampton University in 2000 by its founding director Greg Roberts, what started a mere group of friends coming together to fellowship has grown into one of Southeastern Virginia's most polished and respected singing aggregations. The energy, stage presence and vocal prowess that are displayed with each anointed performance reaffirms this group's destiny to go far in the music industry.
