Jason Shepherd, while still a student at Columbia College, founded Another Level in 2001. Another level is comprised of young men and women between the ages of 17-27 from various churches within the Chicago area. The 10 voice-group, accompanied by a 5-piece band, has performed at Chicago's Gospel Fest 2001 through 2004. They have also performed on stage with Marvin Sapp, Kurt Carr, Kim Burrell, Percy Grey, Ray Bady, and Lonnie Hunter. In December of 2004, Jason Shepherd and Another Level completed their first project entitled 'Songs Vol.1'. This anointed album features 10 songs that were penned by Jason Shepherd.

Jason graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music in 2001. Jason, a prolific writer and musician, began his music career at the tender age of five. He has been mentored by some of gospel music's most sought after and respected artists. This has afforded him the opportunity to write and perform with such artists as Kelvin Lenox, the Brown Sisters, Gina Thurston, Bridgett Campbell and Columbia Gospel Choir. He also performed across the United States and parts of Europe. Jason is presently head director and musician for the St. Luke C.O.G.I.C. Youth Choir, where he has been a member since birth.
