PHANATIK
Embark on an incredible journey... a journey through the depths and complexities of transformation that define the Christian life. Can a rap album take you there? The Incredible Walk is indeed the ultimate transportation vehicle, as Phanatik - a lyrical heavy hitter from The Cross Movement - unleashes considerable talent on his solo debut. A clever play on Marvel Comic's The Incredible Hulk, The Incredible Walk reveals the metamorphosis...chronicles the struggle of the new nature of the Christian to break through and come alive where the old nature used to thrive.

Phanatik was raised in Philadelphia and despite his mother's best efforts grew to love most things hip-hop. Christ's love regenerated his mind and his music, inspiring Phanatik to create and perform "Jesus centered" hip-hop. Phanatik has a distinctly analytical style, as evidenced on such Cross Movement hits as "Who's The Man", "C to the R", "Start Something" and "Holy Culture" (title track from "Holy Culture". He has toured the US and abroad on what he describes as "musical, missionary journeys" and is the recipient of numerous accolades for his role as a member of The Cross Movement. His studies at Lancaster Bible College (Lancaster, PA) and work as Vice President of Cross Movement Ministries (Philadelphia, PA), in addition to his music ministry with The Cross Movement, enable him to fill the evangelistic void in hip-hop culture.

Phanatik's solo effort is a feat of lyrical prowess - he deftly weaves athletic metaphors from the Scriptures (running an agonizing race, fighting the good fight, receiving a crown, for example) into vivid pictures of life. The believer is absorbed by and identifies with the truth of Phanatik's depiction of the battle to subdue the old nature. The non-believer is confronted with the monstrosity of life without Christ and challenged to join the fray - to live The Incredible Walk.
