PRISCILLA JONES Priscilla Jones was born to sing. Throughout her life, music has been an influence and constant companion. Whether it was singing as a child in the local gospel choir, or recording and touring with such stars as Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder and Eric Clapton, Priscilla has seen astonishing audiences all over the world. The diversity of her musical background and the wide range of artists she has worked with have given Priscilla great vision for her own musical destiny. Coming from a musical family, Priscilla started singing at a very young age, and immediately fell deeply in love with the art form. The Jones family toured the UK as Jones & Co, and gained a reputation for beautiful voices and unique performances. Priscilla sang in front of crowds of fifteen to fifteen thousand. It was at the tender age of nine that she realized what a talent she possessed, and started to take her singing seriously. Jones & Co released their first album when Priscilla was fifteen. The following year, the rising teenage star recorded an album entitled Colours of LCGC in Sweden. The positive reaction to the album led to the creation of the band Nu Colours. Early in her career, Priscilla was doing a lot of session work, ranging from The Lighthouse Family to the Spice Girls. Her reputation as an outstanding vocalist flourished. Priscilla experienced the thrills and challenges of the theatre work by appearing in the musical, Mama I Wanna Sing, while simultaneously recording Nu Colours second album. Hits such as Desire and Special Kind Of Lover landed in the Top 20 on the UK charts. Priscilla's vocal dexterity allowed her to work with artists covering the whole musical spectrum, from soul phenom Jocelyn Brown, to the legendary Tom Jones. Her expertise helped craft the voices of tomorrow through her vocal coaching and arrangements on American Idol, as well as her work with the UK's very own Pop Idol, Will Young. Priscilla also toured globally with Craig David for three years, but never let her desire to be solo artist wane. For Priscilla Jones, the time has come to release her extraordinary debut project. Priscilla's album, Prophecy comes from a place that is real, inspired by passion and fueled by a thirst for life, truth and simple pleasures. Her songs cohesively express the reality that we all need to give and receive love. My passion is music and singing is my life, reflects Priscilla. I've always wanted the opportunity to write, record and perform my own material. I think now is the time to give a little of myself to a world in need of healing, hope and inspiration. |
