TERRENCE MACKEY & NU RESTORATION
Terrence Mackey born on October 4, 1978, is the son of Michelle and the late John Mackey. From the early age of four, he loved music and since then has become a accomplished musician playing the drums, bass guitar, piano and trumpet. Terrence graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School in 1996, and continued his education at Florida A & M University, where he earned a Bachelors of Music degree in 2000.

Beginning his professional career as the director of the Lancaster High School Gospel Choir, Terrence successfully led the choir to the battle of High School Choirs competition. With his leadership, the choir received the 1st place award two consecutive years. Currently, Terrance serves as Minister of Music at the Community First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Mickey Gerald Sr.

Terrence has enjoyed much early success and has received numerous awards including New Artist of the Year, Best Keyboard Player, Best Song Writer (Texas), and Gospel Excellence Awards. He also has shared the stage with well known gospel artist such as Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, Smokie Norful, Chester D. T. Baldwin, The Canton Spirituals, Byron Cage, John P. Kee and many more.

In 2002, he formed a dynamic gospel group Nu Restoration. The group of 15 people are young people who don't proclaim to have it together but are striving to reach that point of realness that few groups achieve. They aspire to reach the nations with the ministry God birthed in their leader, Terrence Mackey. Terrence's overall goal is to bridge the gap between the young and the old for a better generation; with the help of God.

Since the group has been together, they have had the opportunity to share the stage with John P. Kee, Fred Hammond, Smokie Norful, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin and many other gospel greats.
