Sunday Best Season 2 Winner
Finally Releases CD

Imago Dei Music Group recording artist and BET's Sunday Best second season winner Y'Anna (EE-AH-NAH) Crawley is set to release her first solo CD project, The Promise, on August 24, 2010.

Y'Anna says that winning Sunday Best and working on this CD project have been amazing blessings in her life. Her experiences inspired her to choose The Promise as the title and theme of her new CD. "With everything that I've gone through, all my ups and downs, with people talking about me and saying that I would never make it because I had two kids, I was resting on God's promise," she said. "I'm hoping that people who listen to this CD will be uplifted and encouraged. I want them to realize that dreams do come true, so you should never give up on your dreams. When you get knocked down you get back up and just keep pressing through."

BET's Torrence Glenn (The Gospel According To Torrence) has an exclusive sneak peek of some of the album's tracks. Check it out here.

An Incredible Worship Experience
My Worship Experience is the ultimate collaborative effort on many levels including some of the gospel industry's anointed and powerful artists and worship leaders.

In addition to the current radio single, "I Need You Now" featuring Damita, Phillip Bryant and Lil Mo , My Worship Experience is also filled with praise and worship songs and exhortations led by Dynamic Psalmists including Deitrick Haddon, Lucinda Moore, Damita, Jonathan Dunn, Joann Rosario-Condrey, Pastor A. Thomas Hill, and more.

Deitrick Haddon led the powerful song "U Alone Are God" and Joann Rosario-Condrey flowed in the heavenlies on "I Need You" and "Give Your Life to Christ". Praises went forth when Pastor A. Thomas Hill led the uplifting praise song "Oh That Men", and Jonathan Dunn proclaimed the name of Jesus on "Hosanna". Lucinda Moore sang on the heart stirring song "The Joy of the Lord".

Each psalmist flowed with the Holy Spirit and allowed God to be the focus. Not only were the people blessed on the night of the recording, but each featured artist had his or her own personal worship experience with God.

Set to be released September 14, 2010, My Worship Experience is a 2-disc collection of heartfelt, sincere songs that truly celebrate our Savior.

30 Years of Bobby Jones Gospel
Dr. Bobby Jones and a bunch of Gospel's biggest names got together in Washington, DC a couple of weeks ago to record episodes for the new season of Bobby Jones Gospel. This season marks 30 years that BJG has been on the air. Wow. The new season is scheduled to start airing on October 3rd. I hear that Ledisi and Karen Clark Sheard did their good singing. We'll keep an eye out..

Don'tchu miss the early 90's BJG episodes with the old New Life Group (Emily, Beverly Crawford, Nuana Dunlap, Francine and Angela Wright-Primm)....? The church we used to have while gettin ready for Sunday School.. (for those that actually went) lol

:The Scoop - September 2010:

The Brat Pack Reunites
Gospel music heads -- do you remember in the early to mid 90's when Hezekiah Walker, Donald Lawrence, Ricky Dillard (congrats on your recent signing to Light Records) and the late O'Landa Draper (wasn't Marichal Monts, Eric McDaniel and a couple of others down with the crew too?) formed the 'Brat Pack'? Well Verizon's "How Sweet The Sound" competition sponsored a reunion of 3 members of the group at this year's GMWA Convention in Cincinatti, OH (August, 2010). I wasn't there, but from following the #GMWA hashtag on twitter, the event was SRO and each of the guys represented well. The first 45 minutes featured Love Fellowship, Donald Lawrence's Company & New G combined doing hits from each of the featured artists' catalogs and also included a tribute to the late O'Landa Draper. Each artist then did their own set. Supposedly, a tour and CD project is in the works. We'll see...

Speaking of GMWA, I haven't been in a minute (Minneapolis, 2001). Might have to make the trip to Tampa next year.

Stephen Hurd CD/DVD Recording
Stephen Hurd will record his next project titled "Oh That Men Would Worship" on August 27th at First Baptist Church of Glendarden in Upper Marlboro, MD at 7:30pm. Hurd says the theme for this CD is a vision which had been laying dormant for about 5 or 6 years. "This concept of the project centers around giving men the liberty to worship God without fear or insecurity."
